Product features
A new concept for refractive X-ray lenses: pre-mounted and pre-adjusted lens cubes. The system is compatible with most existing industry standard X-ray lens holders for round 12 mm mounts.
Individual diamond X-ray lenses can be arranged within the lens cube and affixed without adhesive or press fitting. The gapless lens configuration offers the maximum possible refractive power per lens length, with optional integrated and pre-adjusted phase corrector. Fully vacuum-compatible thanks to integrated venting channels in the diamond.
Pre-assembled lens cubes can be stacked into a larger lens assembly to achieve shorter focal lengths and higher numerical apertures. Each cube can be individually corrected for aberration with one or more integrated phase correctors. This allows accurate aberration compensation to be achieved over a wide X-ray energy range.
The cube design and precision manufacturing allow seamless integration of phase correction into the lens cube. No additional alignment of the phase plates is required.
With the possibility of on-site measurement at PETRA III, the focusing performance of our diamond lenses can be further improved by integrating a customized phase plate into the lens cube.
Our diamond lenses can achieve a high focusing performance with Strehl ratios typically between 0.7 - 0.9.
Due to their superior material purity, laser-ablated diamond lenses offer a comparable small angle X-ray scattering signal to the highest purity beryllium lenses despite their greater surface roughness.
