New cooperation: DESY and the Wirtschaftssenioren (Seniors in Business)

Members of the WSB advise deep-tech spin-offs of DESY and other partners on the Bahrenfeld research campus on specific questions about spin-offs but also about company growth. This can range from questions about cash flow in companies to marketing strategies or classic management topics. Knowledge spin-offs from research centres usually have long pre-founding phases, since products and services have to go through many development steps before they are ready for series production. Particularly against this background, cooperation with senior business advisors offers added value for founders that should not be underestimated, in order to deal with questions of business management on a practical level.

Former managers, entrepreneurs from industry, trade, crafts, the service sector and various liberal professions are involved in the WSB. Through their voluntary commitment, they strengthen the business location of the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. In addition to individual advisory services, the WSB offers free consultation hours for initial advice, a wide range of networking opportunities and sponsorship in kind for start-up prizes.
